Tim has moved to Sarasota and commutes to MI and around the country with his work. His son, Colin, is attending a tennis school there and this year made it to the USTA final tournament for age 12 (he is only 11) and his other son Alec (7) is an avid tennis and golf player. His daughter Tiffany is in her 2nd year of college in Boston. The Lynches had a Labor Day 2000 picnic at their house and Dan Enright and his family attended to watch the Army football game vs. Cincinnati. More news from Tom: Joe Doty left West Point for Bn Cmd in Germany. Joe, Pat and their boys are getting settled again with hockey and school and brushing up on their German. Dale Love has been with Compaq for over 10 years in Houston and has 3 children, including a 17-yr old girl who is a Varsity Cheerleader - so he goes to all the HS games, a 14- yr old boy who is in freshman football, baseball, and soccer - so they are a taxi service for him, and a 10-yr old girl who is also playing soccer - so they get to take her all over Houston. Tom saw Liam O'Connell in March at his brother's wedding in San Antonio. Liam and his wife Bernadette have 1 girl and 3 boys. They live in the Boston suburbs, where he is a partner in a large law firm. Jay Rutherford, Tom's former F-2 Zoo mate, is married and has two kids, John (15) and Sarah (12). They've been living in Cincinnati for the last 8 years. He is currently the Treasurer for a construction supply company south of Dayton. Jay's wife is an attorney for Proctor & Gamble and they stay busy trying to keep up with the kids. (No wife name, Tom - big trouble coming.) Thanks, Tom for the update.

From across the Pacific Ocean, we get a brief update from Scott Stevens, x-'82. When he worked for IBM, he visited NY regularly and always stayed at the Thayer. Last time was there, he saw Army's 58-52 OT football victory over Louisville. He keeps in touch with plebe yr roommates Joe Bailey and Al Phaneuf, x-'82. Holly (Getz) Grange left the Army in 1990. Her husband Dave retired from the Army last year. He is working for the McCormick Tribune Foundation and they are living outside Chicago in Winfield, IL. The Granges have two boys, David (12), and Matthew (10). Kevin Tate is on active duty and working in a District Engineering Office in Virginia. Brian Layer is a Bn Cmdr at Ft. Campbell and will change command this summer. Brian and his wife Ella have two children. Walt Leberski is a high school teacher in Las Vegas, NV. Brad found this out because his uncle works for him. The first day he walked onto his new job, his uncle came in and greeted him as "Rhino," his West Point nickname. Small world! Steve Thompson is a program analyst with Verizon in New York. He has had the same job for a few years, but has worked for several different companies due to acquisitions. According to Brad, Steve has promised to resurrect the "Old Grad" for the next reunion. David Craig is a systems analyst for Gander Mountain and works and lives in the Twin Cities, MN. Dave Thomas is working for McDonalds and currently lives in Houston. Steve Townsend just finished a tour in Korea and is now assigned to the Pentagon. He is married with 4 children, ages 12, 11, 9 and 6. He has traveled a lot through South America, Australia, and Asia. Denis Lambert is still a transplanted New Yorker living in Dallas, TX. He and his wife Lynn have two children, Kelly and Casey. Denis works for TSC, a software consulting company.

Class Prez Les Knotts reports that he and seven other members of the Select Few returned to USMA to participate in the 15-mile road march of the New Cadets from Lake Frederick to West Point. Marchers included Holly (Getz) Grange, Chris Adams, Paul Merritt, Larry Tosi, Mike Schwed, Lindy Buckman, and Class Veep Ellen (Groschelle) Houlihan. Holly traveled 800 miles to participate, Chris came 175 miles, and Ellen drove 250 miles. Lindy is a Regt Tac, so she had no choice. Les says he had to monitor the chow, so he tromped along, too.

Until next issue, Beat Navy!
