[Thanks to Brian Bogard for the writeup and pictures] Members of the Class of 1982 banded together to provide 12th man support during ARMY's Homecoming game against East Carolina University. On a gorgeous fall football weekend at West Point, approximately 8 class of '82 graduates and their families and friends met under the trees just off Lusk Reservoir to enjoy each others company and tailgate prior to and after the football game with East Carolina. We had the pleasure of tailgating with Alex Gorsky and his family who won the longest distance award attending all the way from England, Ellen Houlihan, Frans Barends, Charlie Baldwin, Brian Lacey and his friend Cynthia, Paul and Beth Merritt, Jan Afridi and his son, Phil Connolly who brought his parents, Pat and John, his brother Jim and Jim's wife/girlfriend Karen and one of his business associates and friends, David Beach and Brian Bogard and Beth Barrett. The day was perfect for football, the food was great and brought back
memories of either a "... first out of the gate going on leave..."or "...last
meal purchased prior to signing in..." Schade's deli submarine sandwich along
with other good food and much grog... Full bellies and good drink made for some
great war stories from our past and current lives. The class also hosted many
Class of '83 friends attending their 20th reunion and invited to tailgate with
'82 prior to cheering on the ARMY team". Brian Bogard, Alex Gorsky, Alex's son Nick and wife Pat Frans Barends, Brian Lacey, Paul Merritt, Charlie Baldwin and Cynthia (Brian
Lacey's friend...)
