The newest members of the long gray line…

On 24 May the class continued it tradition (only the second year…) of presenting an engraved plate to the Class of ’82 children graduating from West Point. This year we have five children joining the long gray line as part of the class of 2006.

Thomas Groves (’06) – Bryan (’82, E2) and Mary Groves were present.

           

George Hermogeno (’06) – Bryan  (’82, F1, department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science) and Gloria Goda were present. Gloria’s sister Hilda Jacobs and george’s friends from Germany Klaus, Christine, and Johanna Kampa were also in attendance.

              

James McCormick (’06) – James (‘82, I2) and Colleen, Shannon, and Mitchell were present.

              

Audra MacNeil (’06) – Mike (’82, F1) and Kathy MacNeil were present.

        

Jean Scrivner (’06) – Ben Scrivner (’82, A3) was not able to attend and will be given her plague later in the week.

Other Class Children Present

We also had a few of the children who will graduate in the near future with us as well: Shaun Gilbert (’08) – Derek Gilbert (’82, D1) at back table with James McCormack; and Bryan McCalister (’09) – James McCalister (’82, I2) and Aaron Gerlitz (’09) – Kyle Gerlitz (’82, I2) at front table with Mat Moten (’82, Department of History).

Other ‘82ers in attendance to celebrate the occasion were Bob Ryan (Office of the Dean), Paul Merritt (Housing and Public Works – USMA oversight for the new library), John Hill (Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science), Mat Moten (Department of History) and Ron Welch (Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering).  Congrats to all of the newest members of the long gray line!
