USMA1982 list

USMA1982-FORUM list

There is a 20,000 character limit on messages sent over the list servers.  This reduces the load on the server (remember, it's sending out between 500-900 copies).

If you send a message that is too big to the list server, it will "bounce" to the list owner with a "message too large" notification.

Here are three important tips:

• Trim off included messages, except perhaps the last one if it provides context.
• Don't attach any files - documents and images are usually very large.
• Don't send in HTML or RTF format - this more than doubles the size of plain text.

If you have a file (picture, flyer, document, etc.) you'd like to share, attach it to an e-mail to the USMA1982 list owner or USMA1982-FORUM list owner.  The list owner will post the file and send you a link.  You can then send a message containing that link to the file, rather than attaching the file.
